Borneo elephants, elaphas maximus borneensis, part of the elephants family.
Borneo elephants are very endangered with only 1,000 to 1,600 individuals left.
They have a lifespan of 60 to 75 years.
Borneo elephants are in lower kinabatangan floodplains of Sabah.
They can swim very well to move through their home ranges and
move freely without causing any damage to it.
Borneo elephants are forest herbivores they eat roots, grasses, leaves, bananas, and sugar cane.
